On 1 April, with the help of the Dmitry Krymov Laboratory and the State Pushkin Museum, the first issue of a new theatre journal, “Zamysli” – “Concepts” – was presented as part of the “Fridays at Pushkin” programme.
The Laboratory presented a theatrical performance created specifically for the State Pushkin Museum, based on scenes from the first part of “Opus No. 7” (“Genealogy”) and a lecture from the “Absinthe Lover,” the journal’s mythical editor – brought to life for the occasion with the help of Maria Smolnikova.
Alongside the Laboratory’s actors, the presentation included Dmitry Krymov himself, the famous theatre critic Aleksey Bartoshevich, theatre historian Vidmantas Silyunas, and several other fabulous individuals.
The journal’s first issue is dedicated in its entirety to our Laboratory, and contains an enormous quantity of interesting material about us and our teaching and working methodology. In addition, each copy of the journal is packaged in an authentic fragment of “Opus No. 7’s” set. It goes without saying that they’re very beautifully done!
