Maria Smolnikova was awarded the International Stanislavsky Prize for her performance as Lyudmila in “O-i. Late love” (in the category “Most Promising”).
The International Stanislavsky Prize was established in 1994 by the International Stanislavsky Fund, and since then has been awarded annually for the most outstanding contributions in the development of theatrical art. Each recipient is awarded a plaque with an image of Chekhov’s seagull and Stanislavsky’s likeness, along with a monetary award. The nomination for “Most Promising” for young theatre professionals was introduced this year.
